The application for FDI World Dental Development Fund will open on January 2026.

The WDDF aims to support projects that advance oral health globally, primarily through the establishment of innovative oral health prevention and care programs, particularly for disadvantaged populations with involvement of communities.

WDDF supported projects should complement national strategic oral health priorities, have a prominent educational component and public health orientation as well as a promising potential for their sustainability.

Each year, FDI supports three to five projects. Each project can receive a maximum of CHF 10,000. 

FDI strongly encourages Regular and Associate members to develop relevant projects and to apply for support through the WDDF. Funding is also available to non-members of FDI. To be eligible for funding, non-members must obtain written support from an FDI Regular or Associate member in their country.

L’inscription au Fonds mondial de Développement Dentaire (WDDF) ouvrira en janvier 2026.

Le WDDF vise à soutenir des projets qui font progresser la santé buccodentaire à l’échelle mondiale, principalement par la mise en place de programmes novateurs de prévention et de soins de la santé buccodentaire, en particulier pour les populations défavorisées.

Les projets appuyés par le WDDF devraient compléter les priorités stratégiques nationales en matière de santé buccodentaire, comporter un volet éducatif important et une orientation sur la santé publique, ainsi qu’un potentiel prometteur pour leur durabilité.

Chaque année, la FDI soutient trois à cinq projets. Chaque projet peut recevoir un maximum de CHF 10'000.

La FDI encourage vivement ses membres réguliers et associés à élaborer des projets pertinents et à demander un soutien par l’intermédiaire du WDDF.  Un financement est également disponible pour les non-membres de la FDI. Pour être éligible au financement, les non-membres doivent obtenir le soutien écrit d’un membre régulier ou associé de la FDI dans leur pays.

Der Antrag für den World Dental Development Fund (WDDF) wird im Januar 2026 eröffnet.

Ziel des FDI WDDF ist die Förderung der Mundgesundheit weltweit durch Unterstützung innovativer Projekte zur Prävention und Gesundheitsförderung benachteiligter Bevölkerungsgruppen unter Einbeziehung lokaler Gemeinschaften.

Die vom WDDF unterstützten Projekte sollen die nationalen strategischen Prioritäten im Bereich der Mundgesundheit ergänzen und eine starke Bildungskomponente aufweisen. Zudem sollen die Projekte auf die Förderung der öffentlichen Gesundheit ausgerichtet und nachhaltig sein.

Jedes Jahr unterstützt FDI drei bis fünf Projekte mit maximal 10.000 CHF pro Projekt.

FDI möchte Regular und Associate Members nachdrücklich dazu aufrufen, Projekte zu entwickeln und Unterstützung durch den WDDF zu beantragen. Nicht-FDI-Members können ebenso Bewerbungen für den WDDF einreichen, müssen jedoch ein Unterstützungsschreiben von einem FDI Regular oder Associate Member aus ihrem Land vorweisen.

La solicitud para el Fondo Mundial de Desarrollo Dental (WDDF) se abrirá en enero de 2026.

El FDI WDDF tiene como objetivo apoyar proyectos que promuevan la salud oral a nivel mundial, principalmente a través del establecimiento de programasinnovadores de prevención y atención de la salud oral, dirigidos particularmente a poblaciones desfavorecidas, con la participación de estas comunidades.

Los proyectos apoyados por el WDDF deben complementar las prioridades estratégicas nacionales en salud bucodental, tener un componente educativo y de salud pública destacados, así como un potencial prometedor de sostenibilidad.

Cada año, la FDI apoya de tres a cinco proyectos. Cada proyecto puede recibir un máximo de CHF 10.000.

La FDI alienta encarecidamente a los miembros habituales y asociados que elaboren proyectos pertinentes y soliciten apoyo a través del WDDF.  

Los no-miembros de la FDI también pueden disponer de financiación. Solamente deben obtener apoyo por escrito de un miembro habitual o asociado a la FDI en su país.
