Abstract :

This lecture introduces efficient impression-taking techniques for edentulous and partially edentulous patients, along with a streamlined approach to same-day bite registration. The presented occlusal registration method minimizes procedure time and is applicable to most partially edentulous cases. Aesthetic and functional implant prosthetic rehabilitation strategies will be discussed, including concepts for prosthetic design to enhance facial aesthetics in edentulous patients. Clinical techniques for rapidly and efficiently determining occlusal vertical dimension, its relationship with aesthetics, and occlusal plane considerations will be demonstrated through various clinical cases, illustrating their application in full-arch implant restorations and prosthodontics treatments for edentulous patients.

Learning objectives :

  • Understand the concepts and techniques for efficiently and accurately determining occlusal vertical dimension in edentulous patients.
  • Recognize the relationship between occlusal vertical dimension and aesthetics
  • Learn techniques to facilitate immediate loading for implant restorations in edentulous patients.
